Pot Kiln Primary School and Nursery is situated just outside the market town of Sudbury, in the heart of Great Cornard, Suffolk. The governing body, staff, pupils, and parents are seeking a dynamic and visionary Headteacher to lead our much-loved school, with a strong commitment towards excellence and personal development.
You will be an inspirational leader who has a clear vision for the school. Someone who can demonstrate empathy and compassion, and is passionate about driving whole school improvement, creating an inclusive and positive learning environment for both pupils, and staff.
You will need to meet the challenges of a school that when last inspected by Ofsted on 6/7 April 2022, received an overall judgement of 'Good'. Our ambition is to raise the profile of the school and be outstanding in every aspect.
The governing body will be looking to you to:
- lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff to deliver the highest standard of education, within a culture where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed
- oversee the development and implementation of the school's vision, values and strategy, whilst supporting staff to deliver sustainable improvement
- monitor and evaluate teaching standards to drive continuous improvement and close the gaps across all areas of our school
- build strong and positive relationships with our staff, pupils, parents, governors, and the wider community
- ensure that the highest standards of statutory reporting and policies adherence are met.
If you feel that you could fulfil this role you will need to:
- have proven experience as a Senior Leader within the primary school setting
- have a strong understanding of educational trends, curriculum delivery, and school performance data
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- have an ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils
- hold a deep commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion for all
- lead by example and be an excellent mentor for colleagues
- be someone who sets high standards for yourself, staff and pupils.
