Headteacher Vacancy

We are seeking a new Headteacher for our small independent day prep school in Brighton.

Our School is a small, independent day prep school for some 160 children aged 2 to 11 years old founded in 1948.  Its founder was determined that the school should always retain its independence and children attending should enjoy an experience much like spending time with a family, characterised by warmth and acceptance whilst also pursuing an education described as broad, engaging and rigorous.

Whilst many aspects of our School have developed in recent years, we have always maintained our commitment to providing a high quality, affordable private education in a respectful, kind and nurturing setting.

With an amazing team, governing body and the engagement of parents, the School has gone from strength to strength over the last 5 years, with an excellent reputation and a recent Excellent rating in all areas by ISA.

Our school is set on the edge of the city of Brighton and serves a community which is culturally and professionally diverse. Despite our seemingly modest presence on Dyke Road, we occupy the best part of two acres. Our facilities include a 20-metre pool, two halls, a computer suite, science room, art room and exceptional catering facilities. We enjoy a large playground and excellent field space 2 minutes’ walk from the school.
