We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Principal to lead our academic programs and inspire educational excellence. 


This role will be responsible for the organisation and supervision of all educational programs, pedagogy, and educational practices. You will work closely with the Superintendent to carry out all necessary duties and ensure the highest standards of education and administration.


Key Responsibilities:


• Implement and oversee school policies as outlined in the SLT Handbook.

• Appoint and evaluate divisional leadership team including Vice Principals, Senior Coordinators, Heads of Departments and Teachers.

• Participate in weekly Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and record minutes on a rotational basis.

• Organise and lead monthly staff meetings, ensuring the agenda is prepared and minutes are recorded.

• Monitor staff punctuality and recommend appropriate sanctions for students.

• Manage teacher absences and ensure adherence to the class timetable.

• Coordinate with other divisions and ensure high standards of teaching, testing, and assessment.

• Oversee the preparation of student progress reports and maintain communication with parents.

• Approve division requisition orders and manage the budget.

• Coordinate the Child Study Team (CST) and oversee curriculum development.

• Design and implement division action plans and manage school inventory.

• Enforce the School's Discipline Policy and Admission Policy.

• Implement recommendations from Accreditation agencies and participate in relevant committees.

• Monitor and sign student report cards and teacher appraisals.

• Develop the Annual Yearly Calendar in consultation with other Principals.

• Organise and oversee school activities and events.

• Participate in staff recruitment and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and other divisions.

• Submit monthly reports to the Superintendent and attend School Board meetings as needed.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures.

• Liaise with Ministry of Education Inspectors and arrange Professional Development for staff.

• Supervise the School Counselors and maintain required qualifications and credentials.

• Drive innovation and offer ideas to enhance the learning experience.


Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education.

• At least five years of administrative experience in an educational setting.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage staff.

• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong understanding of educational programs, pedagogy, and sound educational practices.


Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

• To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and student/colleague wellbeing.

• To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.

• To engage in safeguarding training when required.
