We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and interactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a full time, term time only basis. The main purpose of the role will be to provide 1:1 support and interventions for an individual KS2 pupil on the SEND register. You will also be adept at coaching our students at KS2 through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.
Key responsibilities:
· To act as Key Worker for identified pupil, working closely with the class teacher and parents to ensure progress against Learning Plan targets.
·To promote and facilitate the inclusion of the pupil within the learning environment, supporting interaction where required.
·To work with teachers, LSCO and RSENDCO to monitor the pupil’s progress and assess, record and report on this.
·To build positive working relationships and links with parents and outside agencies who are working with the pupil.
·To support other pupils as required across KS2 including those with EHCPs.
You will:
· Have experience of working with children EYFS - KS2 within a learning environment.
· Have excellent understanding of SEND procedures.
· Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience (NVQ Level 4/5).
·Communicate and co-operate effectively and positively with specialists from outside agencies, where applicable.
