We are seeking exceptional leaders who want to work at the heart of the sector, helping to shape the future of education across the nation.

I want our inspections to be of the system, by the system, for children and families. That means that inspections are something that is done with providers, not to them. That they are built around professional dialogue, and are conducted with professionalism, empathy, courtesy, and respect. - Sir Martyn Oliver, HMCI

Your leadership experience will be essential in supporting the sector; we are interested in candidates with recent senior leadership experience in primary and/or special educational needs and disability (SEND). You will also:

  • have a proven track record of improvement
  • be an inspirational communicator, a confident decision maker and passionate about improving outcomes
  • have an ability to analyse evidence and recognise good practice

Above all, you must share our values of professionalism, empathy, courtesy, and respect.
