About you:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated IB Diploma Programme Coordinator to oversee all aspects of the IB Diploma Programme for our Secondary Section. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth delivery of the IB curriculum, coordinate with students, staff, and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), and lead extracurricular activities aligned with the school’s mission, fostering a positive learning environment.

The IBDP Coordinator will serve as the main liaison between the school, IBO, students, parents, and teachers, managing all relevant communication and program logistics. The role will involve coordinating IB-related activities, including internal assessments, submission of grades, and preparation for external and mock examinations. The IBDP Coordinator will support students with academic guidance, including course selection, CAS, Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of University Guidance Services to provide information on further studies, scholarships, and university admissions. The position will have a teaching commitment of 18 hours.

 

We are looking for certain qualities:

·        The IBDP Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in education or subject specialism with a PGCE or equivalent.

·        A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience

  • Understands quality in educational provision, especially with the IBDP and IBO approaches.
  • Knowledgeable about the characteristics of highly effective international schools.
  • Able to use IBO and school data, as well as research findings, for school and professional development.

Successful candidates will be invited to participate in our Assessment Centre either in person or online on Thursday, 5th December 2024.
