Our Academy 

Galleywall Primary has a rich history in Bermondsey. With a building originally constructed in 1876, the new Galleywall is a two-form entry school opened in September 2016 by the City of London Academies Trust.

To create the best possible outcomes for children, we recognise the need to have the highest expectations of them and of ourselves as a school. The staff set high standards, and this is realised through the support of families and the engagement of our pupils. We promise a school which is warm, nurturing and creative, with an engaging and challenging curriculum and expert teaching.

Our results are all well over national average and, in May 2019, Ofsted rated Galleywall outstanding in all areas.

About the Role

This role is to provide high quality pastoral care for referred pupils by use of small group interventions and 1:1 sessions to support with general pastoral advice for the whole school. You will run clubs to promote social, emotional and personal development of the children. You will support the Pastoral Team with multiple duties. To work closely with families, children and outside agencies. You will also ensure the medical records of pupils are recorded and updated promptly.

The recruitment process will involve an online screening discussion, following which there will be an assessment day including a formal interview, written task, working with a class or group, a tour of the school and the chance to meet staff.
