The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the heart of the scenic Engadin Valley (Switzerland). 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students study at our school for the Swiss Matura, the iGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person (female/male) to join as a

Intern College Counsellor

Workload: 100% - includes evening and weekend work, as required.

Start date: February 2025 or 01 August 2025

The position will suit candidates who are interested in teaching and enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 13 – 19 (grades 7 to 12).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of College Counselling with the management and organization of college applications for international students to universities worldwide.
  • Provide college guidance to students on university research, application procedures, and deadlines under the supervision of the Head of College Counselling.
  • Lead the planning and execution of college fairs and other university-related events.
  • Assist and coach students in preparing for standardized tests, compiling application documents, and writing personal statements.
  • Coordinate meetings between students, parents, and the College Counsellor to discuss academic and career goals.
  • Maintain and update college counselling resources, including databases of universities, scholarships, and other relevant information.
