Job Title: Intervention Teaching Assistant
Location: Manor House School, Slinfold, Horsham
Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
About the role
- To ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students
- To contribute to meeting aims and targets of pupils EHCPs
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
- To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others in relation to supporting literacy in the classroom.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students in terms Teaching/Instructing
- To undertake an appropriate programme of support and intervention in accordance with the duties of a support worker as outlined in the generic job description.
- To plan and deliver literacy/numeracy/intervention lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of each pupil. Lessons will be 1:1 and can be full class groups where appropriate.
- To effectively assess the progress made by the pupils during these lessons and use this to effectively to plan the pupils next steps to ensure good progress is made.
Teaching/Instructing
