Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an extremely motivated and dynamic IT Services Technician with a high level of technical knowledge and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school environment but for those outside education, a willingness to learn about this sector is essential.
The IT Services department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the College’s IT systems and for providing fast, efficient support for staff, students, parents and the wider Columban Community. The successful candidate will provide outstanding first line technical support, resolving IT related faults quickly and efficiently, as well as being proactive about fault finding and providing solutions before problems arise.
Candidates must have a willingness to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of the College and be in sympathy with its Catholic ethos. In return we offer an attractive salary and benefits package including a generous fee remission for the children of staff educated at the college, free lunches, car parking, use of the Fitness Suite, support with continuing professional development and cycle to work and tech schemes.
St Columba’s College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the role, including reference checks with past employers, online background checks, and the Disclosure & Barring Service.
