Your opportunity

We seek a dedicated Japanese and Humanities Teacher (Year 7 to 10) to join our talented team in 2025. Commencing in January 2025, this position is a fixed-term one-year 0.8 FTE part-time contract to cover a staff member on leave.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice. 

The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will:

• hold relevant teaching qualifications and experience;
• hold (or have the ability to acquire) Queensland College of Teachers Registration;
• be able to sign and abide by the College’s Statement of Faith;
• be able to abide by the Staff Code of Conduct at all times;
• be able to work with all members of the College community;
• be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College;
• be legally permitted to work in Australia.
