Kingsteignton School are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher who is committed to raising attainment and improving outcomes for children.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive staff team, who recently joined the Education South West multi-academy trust. The successful candidate will prioritise building strong relationships and connections with both children and adults alike and will have the vision, passion and drive to achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils. They will model a positive outlook on a daily basis and will encourage all children to aspire and ‘dream big’.

The successful applicant will also:

• Have a passion for inspiring learners through exciting and innovative curriculum experiences.

• Have high expectations of themselves and their pupils, modelling aspiration in their daily being.

• Be keen to engender a calm sense of support, nurture and care for our children.

• Demonstrate resilience and determination to ensure our provision is of the highest standard.

• Be flexible and adaptable to be able to meet the varied needs of our children.

• Be a positive role model for the children.

• Have a desire to develop their own skills and career progression and be part of the whole life of the school.

• Have completed their ECT years.

As the post is a Maternity Cover, it is subject to the associated conditions and will finish when the current post holder returns to school

The position is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
