The Abraham Lincoln School is a privately owned co-educational school of 480 students, aged 4-18, and 36 teachers, 25 of whom are British. The School is renowned for its academic rigour, its excellent discipline and its caring and supportive ethos. The curriculum is taught in English and is based on the British National Curriculum. Applicants should have a minimum of two years teaching experience and should be willing to contribute to the development of our extensive range of extra-curricular activities.
Contracts are initially for two years and are then renewable annually by mutual consent. Benefits include: return air-fares, furnished accommodation, annual bonus, baggage allowance, settling-in allowance, medical scheme and membership of the company club, amenities of which include swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Teachers also have access to the many sports and leisure facilities in Casa de Campo resort, also owned by the Central Romana Corporation, including beach, marina, golf, tennis, horseback riding, water sports and cinema.
The Dominican Republic, which occupies the eastern half of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola, with a population of over 10 million people, has many beautiful beaches and enjoys a tropical climate, stable government and low taxation.

About Abraham Lincoln School
The Abraham Lincoln School is a private school owned by Central Romana Corporation which operates one of the world’s largest privately owned sugar-mills as well as the luxurious hotel complex of Casa de Campo.
The majority of the school’s 460 students have Spanish as their first language. There are 36 teachers, 25 of whom are British. The curriculum is taught in English and is based on the British National Curriculum. In the Secondary School, the curriculum followed is that of the I.G.C.S.E. The school enjoys outstanding resources. As well as having all air-conditioned classrooms, there is a spacious school hall with stage, a library with over 20,000 books, 28 classrooms, 3 science laboratories, 2 computer rooms, an art room, a ceramics room with kiln, a music room, a staff room, 2 playground areas, a baseball field, a soccer field and a volleyball/basketball court.
The academic year starts on September 1st and ends in mid June.
