We are seeking a Lead Practitioner - Science for January 2025, and enthusiastically invite applications from experienced educators who are passionate about science and dedicated to fostering exceptional progress among students.

Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned practitioner in the field of science, with a specialisation in one or more science disciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. The successful applicant will possess a deep understanding of current advancements in science education and relevant examination standards. They will excel in delivering engaging and impactful lessons while maintaining high expectations for academic achievement and conduct. Collaborative teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to inspire learners are essential qualities for this role. We have a strong track record of supporting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and providing training for associate teachers. This role presents a unique opportunity to directly influence the quality of education and outcomes within the science department. We aim to elevate the profile of science education within our institution and increase student participation in additional science disciplines. As a Lead Practitioner - Science, you will play a pivotal role in advancing this mission.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering Leadership Scale, commensurate with experience.
