Job overview
The UTC Sheffield Academy Trust provides a unique dynamic education. From its success the Trust has continued to grow, with UTC Derby Pride Park joining us in December 2019, offering Engineering and Health & Life Sciences. All 3 UTCs are rated Ofsted Good.
We aim to deliver an outstanding educational experience grounded in real, relevant workplace practice. Partnerships with world-class companies, schools, colleges and universities give our students a unique start to their future careers. We provide training today for the jobs of tomorrow. Our cutting-edge facilities and engagement with employers’ and university partners provides an exciting environment in which to teach and develop professionally.
Support staff are vital within any UTC and we are looking for a Learning Manager to join our pastoral team. Candidates with experience of KS3, KS4 or KS5 will be considered. You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of support services in a fast paced, student-focused environment where conflicting demands are the norm. Effective communication and team working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. You will work as part of our team, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, particularly the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) plus the SENCO, Deputy SENCO and other Learning Managers. You will provide support for students and teachers to support safeguarding and raise standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement for all our students. Whilst the contract for the role is 52 weeks, the successful candidate will have the flexibility to accrue hours to allow further leave to be taken during the UTC holiday periods.
