Alderwood Infant School

 

28.75 hours per week. 8.30am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday

Term time only

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and creative Learning Support Assistant to work at our friendly infant school.

 

Responsibilities will include providing support for children with additional needs across all aspects of the curriculum. You will also need to prepare resources and assist the teacher in the day-to-day management.

 

Experience is desirable, but not essential. You will be well supported and in-school training will be provided. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good understanding of the challenges of children with additional needs, show an empathy for these children and have an intuitive response to their needs. Additionally, they would need to be able to work under direction of the class teacher/SENCO, show initiative and enjoy being part of a hard-working team.

Salary details:

HCC Grade C. Actual Salary £16,636 to £17,563

Interviews

Only those applicants who fulfil the job specification will be short-listed. 2 references will be sought for each candidate, and these references must be received before the interview.

 

There will be an interview panel comprising of the Head of School and SENCO. Both the Head of School and the SENCO have undertaken the ‘Safer Recruitment in Schools’ training.
