UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational University Technical College situated in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This sponsor-led academy is part of The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, alongside its sister institution, UTC Sheffield City Centre.  UTC Derby Pride Park joined the Trust in December 2019.  All 3 UTCs have been judged Good by Ofsted.

University Technical Colleges are secondary schools for students aged 13–19. They combine technical, practical and academic learning to deliver an education that goes beyond traditional GCSEs and A-levels.

UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, which opened in September 2016, is provided with support from The University of Sheffield and Sheffield City Council. A smaller than average secondary school, it provides 600 places when fully subscribed.

Values and vision

The UTC is based on the Olympic Legacy Park, an area of Sheffield set to be part of an Innovation District for research on health and wellbeing. The UTC is well-positioned to recognise and support all students as individuals, ensuring their talents can be developed to the full.

Through a careers-focused education, students gain a good grounding for the future. UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park has specialisms in health sciences, computing and sport science to address key skill shortages in the wider world, providing students with a clear path into employment after finishing their school education.
