Due to the recent growth at Minehead First School, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant experienced in working with young children to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their social and academic development.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work alongside teachers and other staff to support pupils learning
- Apply strategies to promote pupils’ self-esteem, self-confidence and independence
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievements
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding progress and outcomes from activities undertaken
- Prepare the learning environment and resources under the direction of teachers
· To take safeguarding seriously and be observant and follow the schools safeguarding policy
Contract details: 24 hours over 4 days per week, term time plus 2 inset days. This role may include some lunchtime duties.
Rate of pay: £11.59 to £11.98 per hour
