Here at Bury College, we are seeking a Lecturer in GCSE Maths to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment on our GCSE Maths courses, inspiring learners to succeed and progress. This role is Fixed Term until 30/6/2025.

You will plan delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner programmes and undertake ongoing high-quality formative and summative assessment of learners’ work, both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress.

About You

We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or equivalent in Maths (or a related subject area) and who has previous teaching experience on Maths (or related) courses (or teaching practice for NQT’s). Your experience will include producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans, and mean you are able to integrate high-quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.

A teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills is not essential, however we do ask that you are working towards this.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leaderships skills and have an enthusiastic approach to work.
