Medical Administrator

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional individual to join our medical team as an Administrator. This permanent, part-time role involves working 5 days per week, Monday- Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm, during term time (33 weeks) plus an additional 3 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain student medical records and ensure that information is kept up to date, e.g., requesting medical forms.
• Update student health records, including new admissions.
• Keep the health database up-to-date in line with the weekly school roll.
• Answer queries from parents, nurses, and students.
• Liaise with the School Immunisation Team (Kent Community Health NHS Trust) to book immunisations with the school.
• Send emails requesting medical information and respond to emails from agents, parents, the marketing team, and staff.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and empathetic with a professional approach. Experience working in a school environment would be beneficial.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain professional standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to use school data management systems such as SIMS.
• Experience working in surgery and triaging patients is highly desirable.
