We are seeking to appoint a Minibus Driver at New Horizons Primary School to join our team on a casual contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving children on school trips and swimming lessons providing a safe and efficient transport service for the School. You will ensure the minibus is kept clean, operational, and fuelled ready for use.

At New Horizons Primary School, we are a proud member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust. This enables us to create a unique offer for children: an "all-through" educational journey in which they remain with the same family of schools throughout their education.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Hold a current clean valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years with category D1 unrestricted or a PSV/PCV licence. MIDAS Training will be supplied if required
  • Undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out basic maintenance on the vehicle
  • Be aged 25-65 for insurance purposes
  • The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team 
  • Previous experience of working for an Academy or School is desirable but not essential
