West Kirby School and College caters for children and young people, aged 5-19 years, with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities and offers day and/or residential provision. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition; complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils.

Role Overview:

West Kirby School and College is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to work as part of a fantastic clinical team, including Speech and Language Therapists, a Clinical Psychologist and a dedicated medical team.

The role will be supporting the acquisition and development of functional and motor skills for children with SEND. As an OT assistant, you will be responsible for screening the skills of children and developing, delivering and monitoring plans to enable progress.

Following a successful year in the role, you may be considered to become an OT Apprentice.

You will be under the guidance of a talented Occupational Therapist and will assist in delivering specific programmes as a result of specialist assessment.
