Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Personal Assistant to the Heads of School for the Middle and Senior School at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum, mixed gender school until Year 8 and a girl’s only school from Year 9 onwards. It is located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

·  Ensuring that administrative and clerical tasks are undertaken in accordance with agreed policies, procedures and appropriate legislation; line managing the school- based admin team accordingly.

·  Arranging appointments, meetings, interviews and any associated refreshments.

·  Preparing visual aids for meetings.

·  Preparing agendas and processing minutes of meetings at the direction of the Heads of School.

·  Receiving visitors, monitoring and responding to telephone calls, messages, enquiries and dealing with emails.

·  Establishing and maintaining appropriate filing and record systems.

·  Assuming responsibility for administrative arrangements for any school events as directed by the Executive Leadership Team.

·  Liaising with teaching and non-teaching staff and responding to enquiries.

·  Attending any necessary training associated with the duties of the post.

·  Accepting office and school supplies.

·  Working with the Accountant to support with the monitoring of the Budget for the Heads of School.

·  Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required.

·  Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.

·  Undertaking any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.


REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications

·   Minimum diploma / degree of higher education; or Related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s).

Minimum Experience 

·  At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

·  Previous experience in the Education sector is preferable.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills

·  Arabic speaker is preferable with fluent English communication skills, written and oral.

·  Strong interpersonal skills to aid in daily contact with parents in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

·  Excellent office management skills.

·  Proficient in operating PC, Facsimile, Photocopier, Telex and various office machines, including working knowledge of prevailing popular application software and spreadsheets.

·  Ability to type in English.

About Mamoura British Academy

Al Mamoura Academy is a partly co-educational international school located in Abu Dhabi, first accepting an intake of students in 2016. The school has primary and secondary areas, with the school’s primary division being co-educational and secondary being girls-only. As a newly built school, Al Mamoura Academy is able to boast of a huge range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, such as an auditorium, a swimming pool, numerous sports courts and halls, as well as a fully equipped library and extensive IT facilities. The curriculum at Al Mamoura Academy is primarily based on the English curriculum in primary phases, whilst secondary phases offer a wider range of international qualifications including GCSEs and A-level studies as well as a US Curriculum pathway.
