Based in Wiltshire, we are committed to ensuring all students, including those with SEND, receive the support they need to thrive and to “Aim High”. The SENDCo will oversee SEND provision throughout the school, coordinating personalized learning plans and monitoring progress, collaborating closely with teachers and support staff to identify and use effective teaching approaches, and ensure compliance with SEND legislation and implementation of policy. Liaising with parents and other professionals will also be a key responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEND professional to play a key role in a school with a strong commitment to inclusive education.
It is essential that our SENDCo has strong organisational and leadership skills, experience working as a SENDCo or in a leadership role within SEN for at least three years and a proven track record of developing a team culture that enables effective inclusion.
It would be desirable for our SENDCo to be confident analysing and interpreting data outcomes, experience in a variety of schools and to demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
We are able to offer a flexible start date, an exciting, purposeful and positive team-minded working atmosphere, the support of a close-knit, positive and dedicated team of staff, parents and governors, a broad, balanced, and inspiring curriculum which develops the whole child and a focus on wellbeing for all; both children and staff.
As part of MLP (Magna Learning Partnership), new staff joining us can be assured of a warm, supportive environment along with robust professional challenge and a strong sense of shared vision and ethos: our aim is that every student fulfils their potential and that, through an excellent education in one of our schools, their life chances are significantly enhanced.
As part of Magna Learning Partnership, Amesbury Archer are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced DBS clearance and will be subject to continuous rechecking throughout employment. An online check will be carried out on all applicants invited to interview.
