THE VACANCY
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi are looking to appoint passionate and dynamic Advanced Teaching Assistants to join our thriving team in 2025.

Main Duties
- Provide tailored support to individual students or groups, both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring their full participation in school activities and promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
- Proactively ensure health and safety measures are followed to create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, helping to track and support their progress.
- Provide specialized support to students with additional needs, such as emotional or behavioral challenges, contributing to the development of their social and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain accurate student records in collaboration with class teachers and ensure progress is effectively documented.
- Prepare and organize displays to showcase students' work, celebrating their achievements and enhancing the classroom environment.
- Support teachers with administrative tasks, such as photocopying and preparing materials, to improve classroom efficiency.
- Uphold the school's values, adhere to health and safety requirements, and follow all relevant legislation and policies.
- Model professionalism through appropriate dress, punctuality, and attendance, setting a positive example for students.
- Attend team and staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Work alongside external professionals, such as speech and occupational therapists, to support students’ development and meet individual needs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by the principal to meet the dynamic needs of the school.
Specific Duties
Academic Support:
- Provide academic assistance, including group instruction as directed by the teacher and individualized support to students.
- Demonstrate and guide students through various instructional activities to reinforce learning and encourage engagement.
- Monitor and support students with assigned tasks, offering corrections and guidance to keep them on track.
- Encourage and praise students to build self-confidence and report their progress to the teacher.
- Classroom Management and Behavior Support:
- Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized classroom, including preparing materials and reorganizing resources at the end of the day.
- Take attendance and supervise students in classrooms and other areas of the school.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s behavior policies, promoting positive behavior and self-esteem among students.
- Address minor behavioral concerns in line with the school’s policies, ensuring a consistent and supportive approach.

Minimum Qualifications:
- To have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any subject
Minimum Experience:
- One year of experience in the education sector, or
- One year of experience studying education, or
- Two years of experience in a people-focused or service-related role

- Basic IT Skills: Proficiency in using technology and classroom tools to assist in lesson delivery and student support.
- Empathy and Patience: Demonstrates understanding and compassion when working with young children, particularly those with additional support needs.
- Professionalism: Maintains high standards of dress, punctuality, and reliability, setting a positive example for students.
