This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join the Maidstone Campus on a full time, permanent basis as a Premises Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of Health & Safety and OSG Safety portal on the Campus. Ensure all statutory H&S requirements are met in a timely manner. Arrange Health & Safety committee on a scheduled basis, Promote H & S culture with all stakeholders.
  • Manage and carry out the necessary risk assessments, safety monitoring and checklists and systems on the OSG Safety Portal.
  • Delivery of the Panned Preventative Program for the campus in line with OSG H&S Standards and legal requirements.
  • Upkeep and general care/maintenance of the school building and outside areas.
  • Carry out minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment, within the scope of the role.
  • Notify the Campus Principal/Campus Administration (CA) Team, of any repairs or maintenance work, which is beyond the competence of the Premises Manager
  • Where necessary, engaging with contractors and monitoring their efficiency e.g. cleaners, external servicing etc.
  • Responsibility for refuse storage, collection and disposal.
  • General porterage duties and moving of furniture including preparation of rooms for functions, such as assembly, exams and events
  • As required, receive and check goods and supplies and take them to the appropriate place for storage.
  • Any other work requested by, and deemed appropriate by, the Campus Principal and CA Team.
  • Make safe any hazards, corrective actions and where appropriate cordon off the area.
  • Complete weekly/monthly/annual testing and inspections as per guidance.
  • Ensure that clear passage is maintained on fire escape routes at all times.

The overall security of all premises including:

  • Unlocking and locking of school premises, including during holidays where needed,
  • Responding to, and resetting of, the school alarm, liaising with the police and alarm company as primary key holder (including unsociable hours where required).
  • Checking and securing the school premises subsequent to out of hours intruder

alarm activation.

  • Checking damage/security every morning on arrival at the premises including perimeter.
  • Monitoring and administering CCTV system when needed
  • Allow access to any contractor who may be working on the site, in school holidays or at weekends

About OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus

OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus (formerly Focus School Linton Park Campus) is an independent, all-through, co-educational, non-selective school for children aged 7-18. It has a strong Christian ethos and there are 195 pupils on its roll. Linton Park is situated in Maidstone, Kent. The school was established on its current site in 2008 in purpose-built accommodation, which has been further developed since including a new state-of-the-art Learning Centre for Primary students.
