Requirements, Talents and Competencies
- Fully qualified teacher (Bachelor degree and recognised teacher qualification)
- Committed to their own ongoing learning and development
- Knowledge, experience, and the ability to apply research-based practices in a through school (age 3-18) environment
- Clear communicator who can work alongside stakeholders in many different contexts
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
- Ability to project calm self-assurance, positive energy and kindness
- Experience in developing personal growth in others

About The Lisboan International School
The Lisboan International School is a brand new school, forming part of Artemis Education’s family of schools. Artemis Education is a growing private international schools group with a mission to improve access to outstanding education. Home - Artemis (artemis-education.com)
Opening in September 2025 for students in Early Years - Year 10, the school will eventually house 1,200 students from Early Years to Year 13.
Nestled in the vibrant Alcântara district of Lisbon, The Lisboan occupies the space of a former pasta factory, thoughtfully transformed to honour its heritage while fostering an engaging learning environment suitable for global citizens. Alcântara, an emerging district featuring offices, apartments, bars, and restaurants, is well-connected to the rest of Lisbon and neighbouring districts via an efficient public transport system and road network.
Lisbon is currently experiencing a period of rapid development, marked by the influx of foreign investment and a growing international community. While there are several international schools in the vicinity, The Lisboan stands out as one of the few situated within the city itself, offering a unique educational experience at the heart of Lisbon's evolving landscape.
The school´s curriculum will follow an enhanced version of the National Curriculum for England culminating with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
