Job overview
Are you an excellent classroom practitioner who has high expectations?
Do you believe passionately that ALL pupils have an entitlement to outstanding educational opportunities?
Are you looking to shape a curriculum to meet the needs of Individual pupils?
Are you resilient, dynamic, solution focused and looking to be part of a team who are on a journey to develop the vision for primary education within our specialist setting?
If you answered “yes” to these questions then Hopewell School are waiting to hear from you!
We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher who wants to be part of developing and establishing our Primary provision along side our new Head of Primary.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop our primary provision further – following its opening a year ago. Currently there are 6 pupils – with a capacity for 10. We are looking for someone who can take the National curriculum and bring it alive in a way that both engages and motivates our pupils.
You will have experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key to the work. You will strive to build a nurturing and safe environment that supports our therapeutic approach. You will understand the importance of an individualised approach to planning for every child’s individual needs as outlined in their EHCPs. Your enthusiasm for planning and delivering exciting and imaginative lessons will inspire Hopewell pupils to learn and achieve the very best outcomes, educationally as well as for their social and emotional development.
Hopewell School is an Independent day Special school for young people with SEMH as well as complex needs. We operate from two sites –Hopewell School based in Dagenham and motorvations@hopewell our newly opened vocational site in Romford which offer a range of vocational courses and experiences for our pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our school on the next phase of its journey and play a key role in the development and learning of our students. As the Primary teacher you will become part of a team that will specialise in delivering a curriculum designed to meet individual needs and give our pupils the best possible educational outcomes.
At Hopewell we aim to provide our pupils with a unique, bespoke creative curriculum supported within a holistic framework of therapeutic intervention, and we are looking for the next member of our teaching team to enhance their learning experience.
