About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership position focused on creating a contemporary, coherent and clearly aligned curriculum across the Primary School. The Vice Principal works closely with curriculum leaders, teachers and key stakeholders to align curriculum, pedagogy and assessment with the school’s guiding statements and strategic priorities. The role also drives curriculum innovation, by being future focussed and leveraging best practices.

This position is part of the Primary Leadership Team (PLT) and Academic Leadership Team (ALT). It includes the line management of: FS to KS2 Year Group Leaders (Curriculum & Assessment); the Primary Instructional Coach/Lead Practitioner; Primary Secretary; and oversight of Subject Advocate Groups.

●    Demonstrable student attainment and progress, evidenced by internal and external assessment data

●    Fully aligned and documented curriculum (FS-Yr6) reflective of guiding statements and strategic priorities

●    Effective transitions between years groups, evidenced by strong student readiness

●    Systematic curriculum review cycle ensuring alignment with best practices and priorities

●    Exceeding external accreditation standards

●    Middle leaders who demonstrate increased expertise, capability and confidence in their roles, reflected in the quality of curriculum delivery and review processes.

●    The school vision for high-quality teaching and learning is effectively aligned with and supports the goals of the curriculum.

●    A Primary timetable, adaptive and optimally supporting teaching and learning FS-Yr6, delivered on schedule and aligned with the needs of the wider school.

The role demands both a big-picture vision and meticulous attention to detail, along with a passion for data-driven decision-making, curriculum innovation, and the development of high-performing teams. You will also commit to non-class-based teaching of up to 10%, enabling you to remain grounded in the teaching experience.

Your Profile

We are seeking a highly experienced Primary educator and leader who meets the following essential criteria:


Education and Training

●    A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd or equivalent)

●    An additional qualification in leadership (e.g. MA, ILM, NPQSL/NPQH or equivalent)


Knowledge and Experience

●    Excellent classroom practitioner with at least 8 years’ teaching experience across all key stages of Primary education

●    A minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in a role that impacts a large group of stakeholders (e.g. Principal, Assistant Principal, VP, Director of Teaching and Learning, Whole School curriculum coordinator)

●    Familiarity with the English National Curriculum

●    Interest in international education 

●    Securing high standards of student attainment and progress as a result of leadership in curriculum design, implementation, and review

●    Designing and implementing timetables to optimise learning across key stages

●    Strong analytical skills in using data to drive curriculum improvement and student outcomes

●    Engaging diverse stakeholders, including leaders, parents, staff, and the wider community

●    Leading and managing large teams, including mentoring and developing middle leaders

●    Effective change management

●    Knowledge and experience with adapting curriculum frameworks (e.g. NC, IB, IPC, or equivalents) and evidence of successful adaptation to meet local needs

●    Highly effective presenter

●    Ability to leverage external networks and partnerships

First round interviews will be conducted online between 27th January to 7th February 2025. Second round panel interviews will be in person, over the course of two days, and applicants must be willing and able to travel to Bangkok for second and final round interviews between 17th - 28th February 2025. We aim to appoint someone for the position by early March.
