Summary of the role
The post holder will be responsible for the administration and reception of the one of school offices at Devonshire House School. The post holder will work closely with the Office Manager to ensure the school offices and reception at Devonshire House remains at a consistently high standard.
Job Description
Main duties:
- Be responsible for iSAMs pupil data, maintaining up to date at all times.
- Be responsible for monitoring pupil attendance and informing relevant SLT members of concerns.
- To be responsible for the management of various spreadsheets.
- Calendar management.
- Responding to parents enquiries in person, by email and over the phone.
- Helping manage CPOMS data entry.
- Other administrative tasks such as: helping organising school events, newsletters, correspondence across the school.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Non UK qualifications require a statement of comparability from UK Naric
Essential:
- GCSEs or equivalent at a Grade C/4 and above in Math, English
- Experience using Microsoft office programmes, especially excel and word
- Administration experience
Desirable:
- Previous experience in School administration.
- Experience using iSAMS system or similar.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- An excellent track record as an administrator and/or receptionist
- A flexible approach and the ability to multitask and cope with a changing, varied and at times busy workload
- Evidence of further relevant professional development
- Confidence and understanding of safeguarding and child protection statutory legislations and school protocol.
Desirable:
- Experience in an independent school
- Preferably have worked in a school or busy office/reception
- Understanding of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good level of IT competency, including Office 365
- Good level of numeracy skills
- Good written skills and good command of the English language
- Excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to deal confidentially and professionally with individuals at all levels
- Attention to detail and a meticulous working practices
- Ability to evaluate information and data, and actively question and clarify information
- Well-developed time management, organisational and planning skills
