School Meals Supervisory Assistants

Oriel Academy is an amazing and popular school because we believe in all of our pupils and encourage them to reach their full potential through enjoyment and challenge.

We wish to appoint enthusiastic SMSAs to join our friendly team of supportive lunchtime staff. The successful candidates will need to be highly motivated, hard working with a sense of fun and have high expectations of children.

You will work under the direction of the Lead SMSA to supervise children during lunchtime, in the dining hall, the playground and classrooms during wet weather. You will be responsible for administering basic first aid and playing games with the children.

You will need to have the ability to relate to children and adults, be able to develop positive and caring relationships with the children and act as a positive role model.

Once every half term you will be required to attend a half hourly team meeting which notice will be given in advance.

·        Able to demonstrate excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading and writing skills
