Are you an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Science teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds?


Sketchley School (Forest House) are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to join our Teaching team!


We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils.  The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.


As a Science teacher at Sketchley School (Forest House) you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.You’ll play a pivotal role in fostering curiosity and a love for Science, helping students achieve their full potential in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The role will require you to teach across a range of qualifications including Entry level up to GCSE level.



Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners.

• Inspire and challenge students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring that every child has the support they need to succeed.

• Collaborate with a supportive Science department across the company cluster to share resources and best practices.

• Contribute to extracurricular Science activities, such as STEM clubs, competitions, or trips, to enhance students’ learning experiences.


What We’re Looking For:

• Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

• Strong subject knowledge across all areas of Science, with a passion for at least one specialization.

• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

• A proactive, creative approach to teaching, with a commitment to driving student progress.

• Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and promote a love of Science beyond the classroom.

Sketchley School provides specialist support for both boys and girls aged 8 to 19 years who are on the autistic spectrum, who may also have challenging behaviour, as a result of their communication difficulties and a lack of social understanding.
