35 hrs per week Term Time plus Designated Inset/Academy Days
We are looking to appoint a pro-active, calm and well organised Science Technician. The ideal candidate would be able to support the Science Department at Key Stage 3 and 4. All Technicians must ensure that the department’s laboratories and service areas are clean, and that Health and Safety regulations are rigorously met.
The successful candidate will coordinate the use and development of practical resources and facilities and work with their colleagues accordingly. Candidates with previous experience in a similar role will have a distinct advantage, however training will be provided.
You will be dealing with a wide variety of work up to ‘A’ levels in all three sciences, so you must be qualified, experienced and an effective communicator. You will also possess strong interpersonal and management skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.

This year’s GCSE results equalled those of last year with 70% of students achieving five or more excellent GCSE passes. The school’s value added score continues to be very high and stands amongst the best in the country for schools of a similar kind.
