Salary Grade: NJC Scale 3 - 4

Actual Starting Salary: £22,875.13 - £25,036.42 (NJC) per annum pro rata

32.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday term time only

Flexible working arrangements will be considered (we want the best staff!)

Our story:

The Bridge Trust is a unique Multi Academy Trust which consists of five special schools, one mainstream school, a Training & Development Service and an Outreach Service. We are an ambitious family of schools that embraces the individuality of everyone – children and adults. We acknowledge that learning can look different for different pupils and staff, and we look to change our approach to meet the needs of the individual.

The Bridge School is part of family of schools of The Bridge Trust and has been recognised as outstanding in its last three inspections. We are a PBS school - Our staff have developed some fantastic practices and we are continually striving to further develop the learning opportunities we provide for our pupils. Pupils in The Bridge School have severe learning difficulties and many have autism. Every child and young person is an individual and we work hard to tailor our curriculum to meet their needs. 

 We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to:

  • Engage in interventions both in and out of lessons to foster effective participation of students in the social, behaviour and academic processes of the school.
  • Work with the team to implement behaviour management strategies and develop relationships with students who may be vulnerable and have complex needs.
  • Liaise with other agencies to ensure that student needs are fully met.
  • Support the teacher in the delivery of engaging and successful lessons.
