At the school, the network-wide Speech and Debate program fosters intellectual growth, enhanced public speaking abilities, and critical thinking in their students. As a Speech & Debate teacher, you plan and implement a competitive program, guiding students in Grades 7 to 12 to reach their maximum potential in public speaking and competitive forensics. You prepare students across three genres—debate, limited preparation, and public speaking—for success in both regional and international tournaments.
In this role, you will also:
- Oversee tournament registration and logistics, including coordinating with administration about travel arrangements for traditional tournament environments and organizing resources and filming/streaming for online tournaments.
- Deliver subject instruction on a higher level than grade standard, consistently achieving exceptional outcomes for every student.
- Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory
- Guide students in their pursuit of academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect
- Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative school community

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area.
- Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
