Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (Part-Time)

Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine pupils' speech and language needs.
- Identify areas of difficulty and develop individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges.
Therapy Provision:
- Provide direct therapy services to pupils, both individually and in group settings, to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills.
- Implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the pupils' educational plans.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on implementing communication strategies and facilitating language development within the school environment.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor pupil progress through ongoing assessment and data collection.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and pupil outcomes.
- Prepare regular progress reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Training and Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and developments in the field of speech and language therapy.
- Participate in relevant training opportunities and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
