Due to growth and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a passionate graduate or sports undergraduate who is looking for a third-year placement, or a sports coach to join our team.

This exciting full-time position is available from September 2024 and offers the opportunity for a committed and innovative graduate, or sports undergraduate looking for a third-year placement, or a sports coach, to join our PE team.

 Main Responsibilities: - 

  • Teaching of PE across all year groups.
  • Managing and maintaining teaching resources.
  • Updating assessment data
  • Assisting with extra – curricular sporting activities and clubs.
  • Chaperone the sports team to events around the borough.

This role is ideal for a graduate or an undergraduate, who is considering a career in teaching, or a coach looking to develop their skills in a school environment. A sports degree or coaching qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate. 

The above duties are neither exclusive not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out such other appropriate duties as may be required by the Head Teacher and within the grading level of the post and the competence of the post holder.

Riverside Primary is located on the Riverside campus site which is close to the A13. Riverside Barking station and the EL1 bus, stop directly outside the campus. 

The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and as such all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and digital screening. Appointments are also subject to satisfactory references/medical clearance.
