We have an exciting opportunity for someone to work closely with our Heads of Year and their SLT Lead, providing them with administrative and organization support, as well as being a first point of contact for parents/carers. The role contributes to the pastoral support network operating across the school working to ensure that students are able to develop resilience and achieve success.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who strives for positive outcomes with the ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers. Previous experience operating in a similar environment and providing strong administrative support, as well as pastoral care, is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate with transferable experience/skillsExcellent communication and IT skills are required together with a calm, resilient and organised approach, plus a willingness to obtain a first aid qualification, if not already held.

The hours of work are 35.5 per week, Monday to Thursday: 8.15am to 4.00pm and Fridays: 8.15am to 3.15pm. This role is 40 weeks per year, term time (38 weeks) plus attendance at events outside of core working hours to support occasional meetings and events. The actual starting salary is £21,705 per annum (FTE £24,946). NB pay award pending September 2024.

Hinchley Wood School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school based in Surrey, for students between the ages of 11 and 18. It gained academy status in 2012 and multi academy status in 2019 - Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.  In October 2019 Hinchley Wood Primary School joined the Partnership.
