We are looking for a Study Supervisor to join our friendly team at MPW London to support the day to day operation of the college library and student study support.
About The Role
You will:
- Supervise the library, which includes the running of tests, internal examinations and supervision of both assignments and routine work
- Assist with general library administration, database use, and organising book stock and loans
- Support students to facilitate their learning and development using library resources and helping with homework and revision
- Assist with the organisation of events such as prize giving, parents evening and open days
- Work with the Head of Academic Support to provide occasional help to students
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of the students that you come into contact with
About You
You have:
- High level of IT competence to include good knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Compiling data and presenting it to meet the needs of different audiences
- Working with young people and guiding their studies even in unfamiliar subjects
- Good communication skills: oral and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to work efficiently in order to meet tight deadlines
- A team-focused attitude, and a willingness to support others

Mander Portman Woodward London, commonly referred to as MPW, is one of a group of independent colleges providing GCSE and A-level education for 14- to 20-year-olds. The other mixed, non-denominational colleges are located in Birmingham and Cambridge.
The school was established in 1973 by Robert Woodward, Rodney Portman and Nicholas Mander, which is where MPW gets its name. In 2016, the group was sold by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Incorporated, a Los Angeles private equity firm, to the education firm Kaplan International.

Mander Portman Woodward believes in giving students as much personal attention as possible, and ensures that there are fewer than 10 students in every class. The college's mission is to work with students to turn their academic aspirations into reality. It takes students from Year 10 and has a particularly strong reputation for its sixth-form provision.
