The opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and dynamic subject leader of junior school mathematics for April 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with the ability to promote the personal development of students, and improve the standard of learning and achievement. Skills and qualities:
- Commitment to student well-being and learning
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a teaching certificate
- Experience in a CBSE or international school
- Strong communication and people skills

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the mathematics team in matters relating to curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, and quality assurance
- Manage the daily operations of the department
- Manage and support the performance and professional development of the mathematics team
- Monitor and track student progress, and ensure high-levels of student achievement
- Lead the department in support of annual school improvement plans

A co-educational and non-selective school, AKIS offers the following provision to students from Kindergarten through to Post 16 (3-18 years of age):

- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India
