This is an exciting time to become a part of our team as we enter our fourth year of growth and success. We are looking to appoint a talented, dynamic and passionate Subject Leader for RE who is eager to make an impact, not just in their department, but across the school as a whole.

The successful candidate will:

  • Set high expectations which motivate and challenge students in a productive learning environment
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Adapt to and respond to the strengths and needs of all students
  • Be accountable for leading, managing and developing the RE programme across the school.
  • Develop the intent and implementation of the curriculum to achieve the desired impact, leading students to     appreciate the subject and its application.
  • Be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


At HWA we are now into our third year of growth, so have years 7-9 on roll. We are deeply proud of the welcoming, warm culture we have created, and the aspirational, purposeful learning that is second nature in our classrooms.
