As a valued member of our Swim School team, you will assist and support Swim Teachers with lessons for individuals of all ages, including children and adults. You'll get to use your knowledge, experience and skillset, whilst working within our state-of-the-art facilities, surrounded by a warm and supportive group of professionals.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about delivering an outstanding service and who possesses excellent communication and supporting skills. You will be qualified or will be willing to work towards a level 1 teaching assistant qualification.

We are currently recruiting for the following days and times:

  • Monday: 16:15 – 18:15
  • Wednesday: 16:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday: 09:30 – 12:30
  • Sunday: 09:30 – 12:30

Uppingham School is a mixed, Church of England independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding, located in Leicestershire. The secondary school, situated in Uppingham has approximately 791 students on record.

Uppingham School was founded in 1584, originally as a school for boys. In 1975 girls were admitted, and it became fully co-educational as of 2001. The majority of students attending the secondary school are boarders.

Work is generally presented neatly and pupils’ note-taking is effective. They develop good numeracy skills and their capacity to think critically is notable. Creative abilities are well developed and their exploration of ideas is particularly marked in their enrichment activities. Pupils’ study habits are good. In the lessons observed, pupils worked very well with each other, and also worked well independently. They enjoy their work and this stems in part from the good-natured atmosphere in lessons. Pupils use information and communications technology (ICT) proficiently.”
