About the School
The British School of Lomé (BSL) is situated in a secure and green area of Togo's capital city, close to beach resorts and sharing a picturesque coastline with neighbouring countries. The school offers boarding facilities, maintains a low student-teacher ratio, and is well-regarded both in Togo and internationally for its commitment to excellence.
In 2023, BSL celebrated its 40th anniversary, honouring its staff, students, and successful alumni who have contributed to making the school a model of diversity, inclusivity, and quality education. Guided by the motto "Endeavour is All," BSL continues to strive for excellence.
The Secondary section serves students in Years 7–13, delivering the Cambridge IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The Primary section accommodates students from Crèche (18 months to 4 years) through to Year 6 (ages 10/11), blending the Cambridge curriculum with inquiry-based learning and STEM. Specialist subject teachers enhance the learning experience across Primary and Secondary.
Representing the British Council, BSL provides English language classes, expert university admissions guidance, and is the only SAT and IELTS examining centre in Togo.
