Job overview
Are you ready to help shape the thinkers and doers of tomorrow?
Whether you are starting your teaching journey or are more experienced looking for a new chapter, join with us and prepare to make an impact in an ever-changing world.
At King’s Academy Brune Park, we offer exciting and dynamic Business and Computing courses for KS3 and KS4 students. We aim to build essential life skills for our pupils with a curriculum designed to inspire, engage, and prepare them for success.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Computing and Business Studies to join our dynamic and supportive department. We are committed to delivering a broad, ambitious curriculum that engages students and equips them with valuable skills for their future.
This role is ideal for an educator passionate about fostering academic achievement and student growth within both subjects.
In Key Stage 3, our curriculum aims to introduce pupils to fundamental concepts, fostering curiosity and building a solid foundation. At Key Stage 4, pupils can choose from a range of qualifications: AQA GCSE Computer Science or the Cambridge National in Information Technologies, and Edexcel GCSE Business or the Cambridge National in Enterprise and Marketing. Computer Science has historically enjoyed high achievement, while Business continues to be a popular choice, with a significant uptake among our students.
We place a strong emphasis on extracurricular experiences that enrich learning beyond the classroom through initiatives like experience days and the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy award. Students can gain real-world insights and entrepreneurial skills by engaging with local businesses.
You will be a forward-thinking and adaptable professional, dedicated to inspiring students of all abilities. A commitment to collaborative working, student engagement, and continual professional development will be essential. If you are driven to make a positive difference and contribute to our vision of an inclusive, balanced, and enriching curriculum, we would love to hear from you.
Full-time or possible part-time for the right candidate.

How do we measure our success?
By looking at every learner’s achievement and progress:
- GCSE results
- progress made in every subject across different stages of the year
- how our pupil’s achievement compares to others across the country
- how well our tutor time supports pupil’s achievement and well being
By looking at the quality of teaching and learning, specifically:
- how we are developing pupil’s independent learning
- how well we feedback to our pupils so they know how to improve
- how good every learning experience is
- By looking at how well we use evidence to plan appropriate interventions, use these interventions and then see how successful they are on individuals or groups of learners.
We also look at how we are constantly developing our teachers and support staff in meeting these goals.
