The role
Laude San Pedro International College is seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed and passionate Primary and Secondary School Teacher of English as an Additional Language. The successful candidate will join our experienced and dynamic department, who deliver an outstanding learning experience which goes well beyond the classroom.

The Mastering English Pathway department consists of a team of highly experienced teachers delivering Second Language English as a core subject in Key Stage 4 and the Cambridge English exam curriculum in Key Stage 3. We have a strong, developed curriculum merging together the UK national curriculum along with the Cambridge English assessment programme, which supports the learning of our EAL students in school. Prospective candidates will have the unique opportunity to assist the growth of the department by delivering a personalised curriculum for our students who are learning English as a foreign language.
We are looking for an innovative and creative teacher capable of teaching English as Additional Language effectively, and to take an active role in maintaining the high standards and aspirations of our pupils. The ideal candidate will have taught EAL and the UK National Curriculum before.
We are seeking someone with excellent subject knowledge and the successful candidate must be student-focused, possess a relevant subject degree and relevant EAL teaching experience in a similar environment.

Recruitment Details
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated colleague: a professional commitment to the academic expectations and values of the school, and the ability to work in a team are essential.
Applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), preferably from a UK provider, and be eligible to work in Spain and have a proficient (native or quasi-native) level of English.
The candidate profile
- Proactive and inspirational teacher, preferably with British and/or international school experience.
- Enjoys working with children in a positive and supportive manner.
- Has QTS preferably from a UK or equivalent provider
- Knowledge and experience of leading and implementing the national curriculum for England is preferred
- Experience of and willingness to actively participate in the pastoral and enriched life of the school community.
- A genuine team player who is happy to contribute and lead initiatives within a successful and supportive department.
- Knowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantage.

Laude San Pedro International College is an inclusive school with a programme focused on academic excellence, teaching the British National Curriculum - from age 3 to 18 - and, from age 12, offering the possibility of studying the Spanish ESO and Bachillerato curricula (with up to 65% of classes in English). We have a strong focus on academic standards - our GCSE and A Level results, as well as the Spanish Selectividad, are well above national averages in both countries. It is a highly international environment with students of over 50 nationalities enjoying a unique learning environment designed to meet their needs. All our UK curriculum teachers are native English speakers and have many years of experience in the UK and abroad.
We are part of the global education group ISP ('International Schools Partnership') one of the largest education groups in the world. As a global group of schools, our students benefit from being part of a wider international community which offers many additional learning and cultural opportunities.
Our excellent facilities include an artificial turf football pitch, two multi-sports courts and a gymnasium with changing rooms for over 400 people. We also have state-of-the-art digital learning facilities including four computer rooms, a multimedia lab and a graphic design room, as well as the latest technological devices (iPads, Chromebooks and interactive whiteboards). Innovative science labs to support the science curriculum through to A-Levels and dedicated rooms for drama, food technology labs and a new radio studio. We have a large 200-seat dining hall with its own kitchen where school meals are prepared and an extensive library to encourage our pupils to develop an interest in reading and research.
