King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Geography teacher to join an exceptional department. With 86% of grades at 9-4, 76% of grades at 9-5 and 45% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Geography in 2024, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department.

Geography is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach up to at least GCSE level with the possibility of some post-16 teaching for a suitable candidate. We have at least two groups of Geography for A-level in each year group, in 2024 49% of students achieved at A*-B grade.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life including fieldwork and wider educational visits.

Hours of work: Part-time (0.6), temporary to cover maternity leave.
