Teacher of IB Biology & Chemistry

Location: Copperfield International School, Verbier, Switzerland 

Copperfield International School invites applications for an experienced and dynamic Teacher of IB Biology & Chemistry to join our academic team. This role focuses on delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), with the possibility of teaching elements of integrated sciences in the MYP. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Teach IB Biology and Chemistry courses within the IBDP framework, inspiring students to achieve academic excellence. 
• Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-based science curricula that encourage critical thinking and scientific exploration. 
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary approaches and participate actively in school-wide academic initiatives. 
• Engage fully in the life of the school, contributing to academic and extracurricular programs, and supporting our vibrant boarding community. 

Qualifications: 

• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification. 
• Proven experience and success in teaching IB Biology and Chemistry, with excellent student outcomes. 
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English; functional knowledge of French is an asset, with a willingness to develop language skills further. 
• A demonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
