Our thriving Maths faculty is looking for an inspirational Teacher to join our team. We welcome applications from excellent Teachers with experience or potential.
We are a large department with 14 Teachers across KS3,4 and 5, including A-level Further Maths. We are building systems and a culture for continuous improvement within the department through collaborative planning of resources, regular CPD sessions, and frequent, low-stakes feedback through learning walks. We are also continuously looking to reduce workload for our staff - all our homework is centrally set and automatically marked through Sparx Maths, and Teachers are only expected to mark books through live marking during lessons.
Our faculty has a strong culture and a track record of supporting new Teachers - two of our current deputy subject leaders have come through the school as ECTs. We currently have 4 ECTs/trainees who are being supported by experienced mentors, through weekly mentor meetings, observations and other mechanisms as required. Teachers are supported by two Maths specialist TAs.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Maths at an exceptional level, be passionate about their subject and dedicated to improving their practice. You will also be a committed team player whose values align with ours as follows:
