Job overview
We are seeking qualified and unqualified staff for the delivery of our PSHE curriculum at our main school site in Shipley Bridge. The curriculum includes GCSE RE
Subjects are delivered in small groups with a maximum of 8 students per class. A calm, inclusive and empathic nature, with a sound understanding of how internal and external factors can influence pupils’ behaviour, conduct and/or attainment is essential. All students have a diagnosis of social, emotional and mental health needs, with many also having additional diagnosis or characteristic of ADHD and other Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
Working as part of a professional and committed team of Tutors, you will have the following responsibilities to ensure every students reaches their full potential:
- To make the safeguarding of all pupils a primary concern
- To teach pupils in a way that ensures every pupil experiences a high quality inclusive school experience in line with Burstow Park School policies and protocols.
- To act with honesty and integrity at all times
- To impart a good level of subject knowledge through the use of high quality pedagogical practices, which are kept up to date through self-reflection and a commitment to continued professional development.
