Teacher of Psychology and Sociology

Opening in August 2025, Shrewsbury International School India will be a boarding school for children from age 11 to 18. It will deliver a British Curriculum based upon the CIE Lower Secondary, through IGCSEs to A Level, all as part of the whole person education for which Shrewsbury is famed. We are looking for an inspirational teacher of Psychology & Sociology to join the founding team.

You must have at least 4 years’ experience of teaching Psychology & Sociology through KS4 and KS5. For KS5 A Level experience is desirable, though candidates with IB experience will also be considered.

Importantly you must be an educator who wants to contribute beyond the classroom. We are looking for teacher who are keen to offer extra and co-curricular activities and are enthusiastic about supporting the residential aspect of the school.

Located in Madhya Pradesh, at the very heart of India, the school’s 150-acre campus will have exceptional state of the art facilities for teaching and learning, alongside unparalleled provisions for co and extracurricular activities.

The school is sponsored by Jagran Social Welfare Society (JSWS), a well-established and successful education provider based in Madhya Pradesh. JSWS already has 13 successful institutions within its portfolio, many of which it has built from the ground up. The successful candidate will be provided with fully equipped 2 BHK accommodation and, in addition to an attractive salary, will have full tuition fee remission at the school for two children, medical insurance of upto Rs. 5 Lacs per annum for self, spouse and children, and an annual travel allowance of Rs. 1 Lacs. Where the children are under the admissions age for Shrewsbury, similar tuition fee remission as mentioned above will be offered at one of the local sister schools within the JSWS group. There will be a performance bonus of upto 10% to be paid annually and a completion bonus equivalent to 45 days salary to be paid at the end of the contract.
